Eligibility
Entry is open to residents of Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea,
Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand , Vietnam and other countries in Asia
Contestants can only choose one of the following groups to enter their work:
Amateur Group:Individuals who are interested in character design
Professional Group:
a.Professional designers or individuals with design background
b.Designers who are interested in character design
How To Enter
All contestants must enter their personal information and upload the artwork via this website .
Contestants may be an individual or a group, however, for group works, please select an individual to register online. Each registered individuals can only submit one artwork. Repeated submissions will not be accepted.
Work Criteria
File format: JPEG format of no less than 90% of quality, 800 * 600 Pixels, 72 dpi resolutions, file size does not exceed 1 MB, and same artwork up to 3 different angles.
Art description of no more than 250 characters
Amateur Group:Hand-drawn or computer generated image are both acceptable formats.
** Artwork by mail will not be accepted. Please upload the artwork by JPEG format via the website.
Professional Group:All artworks must be computer generated ( Either 2D or 3D are acceptable)
Judging Criteria
The selection process is divided into preliminary and final stages
The preliminary stage screens illustrations submitted by the participants. The Kingston selection committee will choose top 50% finalists for the final stage and online voting activity.
At the final stage, all finalists will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of Kingston management (70%) and online voter (30%)
Amateur Group:
Visual presentation (30%)
Creativity (50%)
Relatedness to contest theme (20%)
Professional Group:
Visual presentation (40%)
Creativity (40%)
Relatedness to contest theme (20%)
Online Voting
All valid entries are eligible to be voted online. Voters who predicted the right winners are automatically entered to a random prize draw. Selected individuals’ names will be announced on the website on June 10, 2008
Voting period:May 5, 2008 – May 20, 2008
Voting rule:One vote per person per day.
Prizes
All candidates will have a chance to display their artwork at Computex 2008.
Early Bird program!! The first 15 entries from amateur group and the first 5 entries from professional group can get 1 pc of Kingston limited edition Qee.
The names of winners will be announced online and published in Kingston's press releases
The names of winners will be included in other Kingston's events for sales , maketing and merchandising purposes.
Amateur Group
One (1) Grand Prize -an award certificate, cash prize of USD $1,000,
Kingston products valued at USD $200.
One (1) Second Place - an award certificate, cash prize of USD $700,
Kingston products valued at USD $150.
One (1) Third Place -an award certificate, cash prize of USD $500,
Kingston products valued at USD $100.
Twenty (20) Excellence Award - an award certificate,
Kingston products valued at USD $100.
Professional Group
One (1) Grand Prize - an award certificate, cash prize of USD $5,000,
Kingston products valued at USD $300.
One (1) Second Place - an award certificate, cash prize of USD $3,500,
Kingston products valued at USD $200.
One (1) Third Place -an award certificate, cash prize of USD $2,000,
Kingston products valued at USD$100.
Three (3) Excellence Award -an award certificate, cash prize of USD $1,000,

Entry implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions. Kingston reserves the right to interpret the terms and conditions and will be the sole judge in any dispute. Terms and conditions may be changed or varied at any time without notice.
3.
All entries should be original and not a derivative of any existing design; works previously entered to other competitions are not allowed.
4.
Designs must conform to nominal decency guidelines. Any design deemed to contain content that is defamatory, harmful, or in breach of other individual’s privacy, Kingston Technology reserves the right reject the entry.
5.
Multiple entries are strictly not allowed. Kingston Technology reserves the right to delete entries that do no comply.
6.
Entries can be an individual or a group. For group entries, only one selected individual needs to register online.
7.
Entries will be judged on artistic and creative merit within the scope of the contest theme. No prizes will be awarded if no entries meet these requirements.
8.
Copyright for all photos is retained by the submitter. However, all submitters agree to grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to Kingston Technology.
9.
Kingston Technology reserves the right to use submitted works now or at anytime in the future, throughout the world in any manner it so chooses and in any medium. This includes the right to modify the picture as necessary. Any use or modification of the image submitted is at the sole discretion of Kingston Technology. This also includes, without limitation, use in corporate brochures, web sites, and in any other Kingston Technology promotional material.

Prize winners will be notified by email and announced on website once judging is complete. Non-prize winners will not be otherwise notified.
11.
All cash prizes will be wired transfer to winner’s account. All Fringe Benefits Tax implications are the sole responsibility of the prize winners.
12.
The prizes are non-transferable and no substitution by winner or cash equivalent is permitted.
13.
If a winner cannot be notified due to incorrect contact information, the prize will be forfeited, and the Entrant having the next highest score will be deemed the winner.
